Healthier Moms and Babies provides several comprehensive programs which are designed to educate, empower, and inspire participants to make positive changes to impact the outcome of the pregnancies, their lives and the lives of their families.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the CEO, the Every Birth Network Manager will oversee the coordination and leadership of the Every Birth Network Community Consortium, driving the development and implementation of community-wide initiatives to reduce infant and maternal mortality in Allen County. This role will foster partnerships with key stakeholders, lead outreach efforts, and facilitate collaborative initiatives to achieve sustainable, system-level change.
Starting Salary: $60,000

Lead the coordination and management of the Every Birth Network Community Consortium by identifying and engaging key stakeholders, fostering collaborative relationships, and driving coalition activities to reduce infant and maternal mortality in Allen County.
Conduct outreach to diverse community members, including parents, healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations, faith-based groups, policymakers, and other organizations to raise awareness of infant and maternal mortality issues and encourage active participation in coalition efforts.
Organize and facilitate Every Birth Network Consortium meetings, ensuring inclusive dialogue and alignment with consortium goals and initiatives.
Analyze local, state, and federal maternal and child health policies to identify opportunities for improvement and advocate for policy changes through public awareness campaigns and coalition-building efforts.
Collect, analyze, and utilize community data on infant and maternal mortality to inform consortium strategies, decision-making, and outcome measurement.
Oversee the implementation of Every Birth Network initiatives, including developing project plans, managing budgets, and tracking progress toward established goals.
Provide training and technical assistance to community partners, enhancing their understanding of maternal and child health best practices.
Develop and distribute communication through multiple platforms, including newsletters, social media content, website updates, presentations, and event materials, to share the progress and impact of the Every Birth Network.
Design and implement community engagement initiatives that leverage outreach, education, and partnerships with grassroots organizations to improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
Plan and organize the annual infant and maternal mortality conference.
Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with community leaders, organizations, and advocates to amplify the Every Birth Network's reach and effectiveness.
Professionally represent Healthier Moms and Babies within the community, ensuring accurate information is shared, and positive relationships are maintained.
Compile and submit monthly reports to funders and partners, providing updates on program performance, outcomes, and community impact.
Stay informed on best practices and evidence-based maternal and child health interventions, ensuring client-centered, innovative, and effective program delivery.
Uphold ethical business practices by promoting integrity, honesty, and alignment with Healthier Moms and Babies’ mission, values, and vision.
Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and expectations, including maintaining reliable attendance and punctuality.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of Healthier Moms and Babies.

BA/BS Degree in Health and Wellness, Health Promotion, Human Behavioral Science, Public Health, Social Work, or Human Services.
Masters Degree in a related field preferred.

Must have current valid Driver’s License
A properly insured vehicle for use on the job at the time of appointment and throughout employment.

A minimum of three years of experience related to the job functions preferred.

Strong project management skills, including planning, executing, and monitoring multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Deep understanding of systems change and collective impact frameworks, with a passion for driving sustainable improvements in maternal and infant health outcomes.
Skilled in facilitating group discussions and meetings, creating a collaborative and productive environment that fosters open dialogue and shared decision-making.
Excellent listening and documentation skills, with the ability to accurately capture key points, insights, and action items from meetings and discussions.
Ability to set clear agendas, engage and motivate diverse stakeholders, and effectively navigate differing viewpoints to achieve consensus and drive progress.
Interest in and knowledge of women’s health topics, including prenatal and postpartum care, mental health, childbirth, infant development, and community social service resources.
Value diversity, equity, and cultural differences, bringing cultural competency to their daily work.
Experience planning and managing virtual and in-person events, such as meetings, trainings, workshops, and webinars.
Detail-oriented with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information and foster stakeholder relationships.
Ability to build trust and meaningful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including community members, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and management to inform program strategies and demonstrate impact.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and create compelling narratives and visual content that effectively convey program goals and achievements.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
